Chemical peels stimulates the renewal of the surface layers of the skin, creating accelerated cell renewal.
 

There are different types of chemical peels:

- Natural: Solar Radiation
- Biological: tretinoin, isotretinoin
- Chemistry: different types of acids, salicylic, Trichloro-acetic acid (TCA) , phenol, phenol capping or different combinations
- Physical: liquid nitrogen, carbon dioxide, electro-desiccation
