Endoscopic Face Lift

This innovation is the culmination of subtlety in modern plastic surgery. Having been used in gynecology (keyhole surgery) as well as general surgery we are now using this advanced technology in face plastic surgery where patients benefit from minimal scarring, which is usually tiny and hidden.

In plastic surgery the surgeon carries out this procedure under local anesthesia and sedatives or with general anesthesia, using telescopic lens and with the help of very high quality instruments. This technique allows the plastic surgeon to carry out his work in very fine detail using magnification to improve the surfaces of the forehead and face. Through minimal incisions, of between half and one centimeter, the surgeon approaches and corrects eyebrows, the forehead, and these these incisions allow the improvement of the aspect of the eye area, something that is not achieved with the Blepharoplasty: the external angle and the adjacent tissue. It is without doubt the best technique to improve the forehead and facial structures without leaving big scars.

Facial endoscopy has other advantages such as less inflammation as well as leaving fewer bruises. Also, the risk of injuring the nerves and the blood vessels is minimum because the plastic surgeon works with magnification. In general it is a surgery in which the plastic surgeon has more control and can offer more predictible results and end up with satisfied patients.

The postoperative phase is simple and the recuperation is fast. There can be numbness that is an after-effect of the anesthesia but it won’t last more than a week. Usually there are two control visits to the plastic surgeon before the patient is reinstated to his/her regular activities and this process normally takes from 7 to 8 days.
